Citizenship

Ming is now a citizen! The swearing-in was mildly bureaucratic: 153 new citizens from 53 countries were minted today in Manhattan. No cameras or cell phones were allowed in the federal courthouse, so we could not take any pictures.

Yay! Congratulations Ming! Too bad about the camera/phone thing. I guess since mine was at a sports stadium, they didn't care about that. Next up for Ming-jury duty...

Apparently we weren't allowed cameras because of the terrorism trials in New York City (which I guess are in the federal courthouse where we were). One of the marshals said that they don't want anyone accidentally taking pictures of jurors, for example. We had to check all of our cell phones/cameras at the door.
